Maximum Demand Calculator to AS/NZS 3000

This calculator computes the maximum demand of current based on the specific load group, its phase types and quantities for single unit households (a house, shed or individual living unit) based on the procedures provided in the AS/NZ 3000 Wiring Manual.

Parameter descriptions

You can only consider 10 different items. If you need to use less than 10 items, set the quantity values of unwanted rows to "0".
❗Note, if you choose "3 Phase", ensure to select the option "RWB".

Explanation

What is maximum demand?

Maximum demand refers to a quantity of electricity that a system, circuit, or facility uses in a given amount of time. It represents the peak load or demand that the electrical system must have the capacity to manage. This concept is essential for electrical utilities since they must have enough capacity to handle their customer's peak demand without overloading or rupturing the system.

How are the output values calculated for each load group?

This section provides an explanation about the methods used to calculate the output values for each specific load group. This is a summary of AS/NZ 3000-2018 - Table C1, Column 2.
